Maria has been a Registered Occupational Therapist since 1983 and received her Hand Therapy Certification in 1993. Maria is the founder, director and owner of Santa Monica Hand Therapy, which was established in 1994. Previously she worked in multiple rehabilitation settings serving the Los Angeles and Santa Monica community. Maria has mentored and trained graduate therapists for the hand therapy certification process and has supervised Occupational Therapy students for their level I & II fieldworks. Pamela has been a Physical Therapist since 1996 and received her Hand Therapy Certification in 2009. She has extensive orthopedic experience working with sports injuries. She has been specializing in hand therapy since 2007, and is very knowledgeable in the treatment of elbows and shoulders. Pamela joined SMHT in March of 2007. Colleen has been an Occupational Therapist since 1985 and received her Hand Therapy Certification in 1991. She is skilled in the design and fabrication of complex upper extremity dynamic splints for regaining hand flexibility and function. She is also trained to treat children with writing difficulties, using an interactive multisensory approach to develop fine motor skills. Colleen joined SMHT in April of 2009. Elisa has been a Registered Occupational Therapist since 1996. She received her Hand Therapy Certification in 2001. Elisa is also a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and President of Fearless Seminars, a continuing education series for hand therapists. Elisa has been a speaker at national, state, and local conferences. Elisa joined the SMHT team in 2010. Patricio has been the billing and collections manager at Santa Monica Hand Therapy since 1999. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from Ecuador. Justine is the clinic manager, and has been working at SMHT since 2002. She is currently attending school to obtain her master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Torie is the office manager, and has been working at SMHT since 2007. She has over twelve years of experience working in the health care industry and received her MBA in Healthcare Management in 2008.
